😂❤
I hate working nights and have to clean snd then close just gor the motning dhift to come in and be ungrateful 😅😅 after the find yhe smallest thing that wasnt in place 🤦🏾
I want to work at a shop cause I want to use that conveyor belt 😂
GOTTA WORK GOTTA MAKE THAT MONEY 💰
"Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
Real, closing shifts be hard at chick fil a😡
Accurate af😂😂
😂😂😂
don't forget the passive aggressive text to the work groupchat complaining about stacking the bottles properly
Finally someone understands 😂 but half the time the closing staff (when I opened) did not do their job
As a closer and opener, this is 100% accurate
Oh I have a fun story (I used fake names, of course): I open and close all the time in the deli. I’ve worked every shift and I’ve seen how bad it can get across the board. Generally speaking, closing is more labor intense but mornings have to often keep things looking perfect because of visitors and higher management. One night I closed; it was a skeleton team any everyone was doing jobs they had only been lightly trained on. I was closing kitchen. Danny was breaking down the meat display case & deep cleaning it. Allie was doing the job of two people. And then we had a new hire still trying to learn. The next day, a part-time opener (who does one task then goes home) was complaining how someone forgot to stock the packets of freshly sliced meat onto the sales floor. -- Mind you, the job was done. He just forgot to move everything from the cooler to the case. -- I say “Oh Danny did that. He was probably rushing and forgot to put them out. We were working with a skeleton crew and everyone was doing jobs they had hardly been trained on.” She then had the audacity to be like, “we work with a skeleton crew every morning and we still get our job done.” Hell no, you guy do not. Late morning is always well staffed. Don’t get me started on the multiple times I found myself washing 4 am dishes at 11:30 pm. Suck it up and put the damn meat in the case already. It’s not like he left you to cut the 100-something packs on your own.
😂😂😂❤❤
them: *pulls out white glove* me: *takes off gloves*
I swear it felt like morning shift just thought they shouldn't have to do *any* cleaning. I'd do my best but ultimately I *had* to leave by a certain time. I couldn't find it in me to feel bad because it's not like *I* get to come in to a fully clean store either, so why should you expect that?
My favorite phrase while closing was "sounds like morning shift's problem"
As a CNA it’s the same shit. Lol on weekends I used do 16 hour shifts and just go home for night shift and come back for day and evening. 😂😅😢
Kendrick is better
To all the closing staff I appreciate all your hard work and I apologize for the times I may have taken advantage of ur time by getting last min items 😔
Opening shift: leaves us an overflowing garbage full of things that don't belong in it. Closing shift: uses 3 people to dump it, the bag violently torn apart as we all struggle to handle it. We've got 100 customers to help, 20 more chores to do and we close in 5 minutes. Opening shift: We're writing you up for failing to dump the garbage correctly last night. We found a couple tissues in it. LOL I'm lucky that my current job understands this dynamic and is more realistic with night crew.
Exactly. Morning shift does literally nothing but says the closers do nothing 😼
This is so real. Lol
This is so true I work at McDonald’s and closing is so much more work than opening. Before I started opening, I would always talk shit about the openers thinking if they even ever do anything bc closers are the ones that clean everything at night. 😭
How about we remember we all work in the same building for the same thing, a paycheck! Once you've worked every shift in a 24hr business, you realize everyone is: tired, hungry, thirsty, needs to pee, lazy, doesn't give a crap about their job, doesn't like their boss, hungover, stoned, mean, annoying, loud, quiet, slow, or whatever you wanna insert here. But my guys we all signed up to come to a place and do work! I do enjoy the good "swings vs mornings" smack talk but ya know, we are still a team. Act like it brother! If you have my back, I'll have yours. Wanna complain about a shift, work the shift you complain about lmao.
Really we do
Y'know, I see the "Openers" vs "Closers" debate a lot, and I never see anyone talk about the mid-shift crew that literally leaves the work for either the openers to do right before they leave, or for the closers to eventually find out while they're cleaning.
Trust me, we complained about mids plenty. In the store I worked at they were teens who weren't allowed to stay late, and they took full advantage by not even trying to finish. We had to finish all of their mess before we could even start on the new ones customers were making.
Opening guy: what did they even do last night? I bet they were on their phones all night.
Also me when we forgot to clean a corner and opening specially that "MANAGER" "Who clean this? Are you blind? Can't you see it was still dirty here?" I mean, maam, my eyesight isn't that good anymore since it's evening and you turn the damn light off just to save little money.
I’m literally getting ready to get ready for my morning shift knowing I closed last night and left have the shit to morning shift me not looking forward to it
Worked both shifts. Amazing people fail to realize closing staff gets less customers towards the end of the shift. The work about evens out, believe me. People just stop giving a fk because rude customers, terrible management, and minimum wage.
God bless
So true!!
and then leave a fucking mess for closing shift to deal with
TRUUUUUUUUTH!!! 😂
I LOVE DRAKES!!!
As a grocery closer, I feel this in my soul
When you're both daily 💀
Closing staff always gets shafted, no matter the type of work.
Yeah, i hate opening staff
closing staff ocd chance: 30% opening staff ocd chance: 100%
Closing shifts are actually the worst
😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I see both sides. I closed alot. That is why I am work the almost closing shift. And happy when the really organized person closes.
Closing shift stunk always customers walking in 1 minute before closing and taking their time. Then get mad why are we rushing to get them out.
I used to manage a store, the number of times I told opening staff to STFU and fix it yourself rather than complaining was insane.
I wish my customers being in there Walmart bags
Yet another reason I’ll never work a shift job ever again
I’m going to say this. Closing staff tend to do a lot of the chores. When I closed, I have to deal with customers all night, make $3000 in sales (half of our daily sales) in a 50 foot by 50 foot gas station by myself, do 12 closing tasks, including counting out cigarettes, cleaning roller grill, drip trays, coffee machines, and soda fountains, sweeping and mopping, and all that with a SLAP tear. And we still get told off if we forget something. Thankfully, I got a doctor’s note recently saying I can’t close anymore because I have to have surgery on my shoulder in 5 weeks. And I may have to take a while off of work because I banged my knee on something sticking out at work and may have a meniscus injury. I won’t know more until my MRI on Tuesday. 😅
Real
Retail life 💯 night crew should be paid more. They have terrible hours. You sleep while the rest of the world operates. If you’ve got errands to do, you only get a few hours of sleep before work to get things done, whereas first shift can still go to the store or bank after work. Night shift has to clean up after everyone else too and deal with the crazy people that be out at night.
